Class sizes range from 12 to 14 actors to ensure everyone gets a chance to participate. This guarantees that every actor works at least once per class, often more!

Materials for each class come from various sources and change regularly. Scenes may be chosen from a curated list of resources provided by the Studio, or you can bring in scenes you find or even write yourself. Actors in the Workout Ongoing classes have exclusive access to our Scene Library, which contains hundreds of scripts and scenes for use in class.

Depending on the week's focus and the teacher's discretion, scenes, audition work, created pieces, or other exercises may be recorded. These clips are uploaded to a personal DRIVE folder for you to review and study outside of class. You will receive a private link to this folder, typically within 48 hours of the class.

We recognize that some actors like to prepare outside of class, while others prefer a spontaneous approach. To accommodate these preferences, we offer a range of classes. Some require you to select scenes or prepare material in advance, while others need no outside preparation. Generally, we discourage rehearsing scenes outside of class unless it’s material you've written or workshopped for a specific project. This ensures a more organic and dynamic learning experience in class.

Our classes cover all aspects of auditioning, both the technical and non-technical, and especially in this new normal where auditions, callbacks, even table reads, will be taking place over Zoom or comparable platforms, for the time being. Whether it’s the emotional prep (or pressure!) you experience throughout the process, or the skills needed to manage in the audition or your self-tape, our audition classes are designed to bring you back to the real work that affects the casting team – however they’re watching your work. We believe that when you come back to specificity, to a bold personal connection, and to the heart of your work, everything else falls into place and your auditions become collaborative, successful experiences.

As a theatre actor looking to transition into acting for the camera, it's important to remember that truth-telling is the foundation of both mediums. At our studio, we offer both in-person and virtual classes that provide the opportunity to practice auditioning, self-taping, and on-camera work. Our goal is to help you become more comfortable in front of the camera and trust your talent, whether you're in the studio or on location. We’ll guide you every step of the way, so you can focus on delivering your best performance. If you're looking for an audition-centric approach, please let us know when you apply.

For our ongoing classes, we understand that sometimes actors may have legitimate scheduling conflicts or may become too sick to attend class with at least 24 hours notice. In these cases, we offer make-up classes for actors who let us know in advance. However, we expect actors enrolled in our ongoing classes to prioritize attendance and make every effort to be present in class. If you have any questions about our make-up and payment policies, please click HERE for information.
